 Hemostatic gelatin sponge Bandage

Hemostatic gauze
We kown, loss of blood – hemorrhaging – is a main cause of death, second only to trauma injuries. We provides a patient with the time needed to either reach care or gain the critical time to clot. Our Bandage provides the medical professional a solution that is quick-acting, natural, localized and effective. In addition to providing hemostasis, Our sponge dressings also offer an antibacterial barrier against a wide range of microorganisms including MRSA, VRE, A. baumannii (only single strains of most species have been studied).

Bandages are easy to apply, and are effective to stop even the most severe bleeding.

2 x 2 inch Hemostatic gelatin sponge Bandage
The 2 x 2 inch hemostatic Bandage is currently being used in many emergency departments or hospital surgery or cancel patient as drug carrier , cath and IR labs, rapid response team kits and has proven invaluable to hemodialysis centers. Its hemostatic properties can stop even the most severe bleeding. We have training videos for you to review in our product training section.

How it Works

Sponge bandage with three parts, bandage, absorbable pad and absorbable gelatin sponge .

Absorbable gelatin sponge secrete amino acid & polypeptide on the surface of bandage ,has a positive charge, it attracts red blood cells which has a negative charge ,The red blood cells create a seal over the wound as they are drawn into the bandage, forming a very tight, coherent seal. In addition to providing hemostasis, sponge dressings also offer an antibacterial barrier. Bandages are an effective solution that reduces time to hemostasis, even for patients on anticoagulants.

I, Amino acid & polypeptide absorbs fluid ,swells and forms a gel

2,Does not rely on the body’s own clotting mechanism

3 No heat generated

4,NO minerals. Amino acid & polypeptide is naturally broken down and absorbable by the body

5,Sponge can be used as drug carrier for slow absorbable drugs for Canner patient

SHAPE \* MERGEFORMAT

Bandages are simple to use, but key points need to be followed for the bandages to be most effective.
The 2” x 2” size can be used for trauma procedures and follows the same instructions for use as the 2” x 4” and 4” x 4” sizes.
We have found that the Bandage 2” x 2” is ideal for use in interventional and diagnostic catheterization labs.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

For Hemostatic HemCon Product Use in the Cath, IR or EP Labs

What was the impetus for the development of the Bandage Product Line?

Out of a need to save lives, Bandages were developed. In 2009, University Hospital in China partnered with HHAO TECHNOLOGIES INC ,to make big innovation of previouse chitosan haemostat gauze, we use gelatin sponge to replace of chitosan .It can be used in pre-hospital and after hospital surgery operation .What is more ,it can be used as drug carrier for slow absorbable drugs for Canner patient .

What are the benefits of using gelatin sponge bandage?

Sponge bandages have an antibacterial barrier, provide quick hemostasis, are effective on anticoagulated patients, and are cost effective.

Is the bandage effective after hemostasis is achieved?

After initial hemostasis is achieved, the bandage can remain in place for up to 48 hours. This barrier may help prevent the risk of infection. You should follow hospital protocols for ambulation and recheck the wound for re-bleeding due to changing patient conditions.

How long should I leave the Bandage on?

It can be left in place for 24-48 hours.

How are Bandages removed?

To remove the bandage, irrigate with sterile water or saline while gently pulling up on the corner of the bandage. Instruct discharged patients to soak the bandage in the shower, and then gently peel off the bandage.

Are there any contraindications for its use?

There are no known contraindications for use of Bandages. The warning and cautions on our product labels read as follows:

Do not use if seal is broken and/or contents are wet. Do not apply over eyes. Use promptly after opening. Contains chitosan from shellfish. For external use only, do not implant. Not for consumption, do not eat. Single use only. Do not resterilize.

Are Bandages absorbent?

Bandages Are not absorbent and will not absorb moisture. Instead of absorbing, the bandage is designed to effectively seal the wound and stop the bleeding.
